New shopping habits.

This may come as a surprise to some of you,but I recently battled an addiction with a certain clothing brand. It sounds a little something like Hymboree.

Oh,wait, none of you are surprised, are you? Didn't think so.

However,I realized I was spending entirely to much time looking at their website, buying clothes, checking out the message board and browsing the buy/sell/trade section, and in general, being obsessed with their clothing. It was sad, really.

At the time,I didn't realize that this had become an idol in my life, and I was in direct disobedience to God's Word. I know I've said this before, but if you want to know where the sin in your life is,ask God. He'll show you..probably more than you ever wanted to know.

Anywho,I had to make some changes. First up,I cancelled my Gymbo Visa. Then,I stopped going to their website altogether. I also cancelled my subscription to the buy/sell/trade section of the message board. I basically cut myself from all avenues of buying their clothes.

SO freeing.

Then,I started examining my clothes shopping, and decided to take it one step further. I started thrift store shopping. Where exactly? Goodwill. :)

The girls and I usually hit up Goodwill once a week to check out the racks. I've gotten some great deals. I already had a whole Summer wardrobe for them (mostly Gymbo that I bought last year),but I'm buying ahead. I also saved some from Julianna,so Tillie has clothes to grow in to. I'm not sure if I could entirely create a wardrobe from Goodwill,or at least the one here, but I'm working on it for next season.

I'm also shopping there for myself, and kicking myself that I didn't figure this out sooner. I mean, really. Especially with dropping sizes,I should have been going there all along.

Here's a few great deals I've gotten recently.
Cute little Summer dress for next year for less than 2 dollars.

I found this on my first trip there. It's a gorgeous hartstrings dress, for 2 bucks!

And for me,some Ann Taylor Jeans,that I think I paid less than 3 dollars for. The best part,they're a size 6. ;o)

Matthew 6:21- For where your treasure is,there will your heart be also.
