Checkin' In.

The weeks have turned to mere days on our countdown to deployment #3.

There is a to-do list a mile long hanging on the refrigerator door. Get oil changed..install new car seat...lower the crib..

Right now,we are just moving through the motions, checking off our last minute to-do's,still in denial about doing this again. I am vacillating between optimism and dread. I am thankFUL to be a stay at home mom,but some days it is a thankLESS job. It's nice to have that extra pair of hands step in when dinnertime rolls around to play catch with Julie or walk Tillie around outside. It's nice to have another adult to talk to after you've been listening to crying and whining all day. (I'll let you guess which one cries vs. which one whines) It's nice to pawn off the chores I hate doing onto Erik lol! Ok,come on,you know what I'm talking about. I have a serious dislike for touching trashcans,of any kind. He's a pro at taking out the trash! (and doing yard work) Ultimately,we will be fine. I know the Lord is going ot guide us through this season just like every other in our lives thus far. HE will sustain us. HE will protect us. HE will wrap his loving arms around us. And that's what will keep us going until next Summer. HIM.
